Expanding Horizons in Breastfeeding & Lactation Support

You must provide services to patients who live in IL to qualify for this scholarship. 

The Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding Medicine presents Expanding Horizons in Breastfeeding and Lactation Support 

Training 7:30 am – 3:00 p.m.  Central Time 

Sessions include:

-Top Research Articles for 2022

-Prenatal Counseling for the Parent with a History of Low Milk Production

-Peripartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders

-Changing the Narrative to Improve Equitable Care while Supporting the Power of Breastfeeding in Black Communities

-That’s in My Kitchen- Foods and Herbs as Galactogogues and Lactation Suppressants

-Evaluation of Nipple and Breast Pain- Case Based Learning

This training will be provided in an online platform. 

RN: This nursing continuing professional development education activity was approved by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. A maximum of 6.75 contact hours are awarded to Registered Nurses for successful completion.

 IBCLC: This course has been allocated maximum of 6.75 (L) Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) by IBLCE. CERPs approval #CLT117-04.

 RD: The Commission on Dietetic Registration has awarded Prior Approval of a maximum of 6.75 CPEUs for Activity No. 167197. Suggested Performance Indicator 9.4.2 Selects and uses appropriate content and teaching methods to meet individual needs.
